Founded more than 70 years ago, we are a premier supplier of sheet metal products, systems and services. A critical position in this organization is the Fabricated Products Department Manager. This position is primarily responsible for managing the inside and outside fabrication sales activities of our manufacturing division, including custom and stocked HVAC products, architectural sheet metal products, and custom fabrication projects. Key activities will include developing staff, cultivating customer relationships, managing customer orders, estimating selected projects, and acting as a liaison between both internal and external customers and the shop.

Essential duties & responsibilities

·         Lead Fabricated Products group to support outside sales for the following product lines:

¡  HVAC duct and products

¡  Architectural break shapes

¡  Custom fabrication

·         Initiate and develop partnerships with customers through sales calls and exemplary customer   service

·         Develop team members to be able to support multiple areas for estimating and sales

·         Use software tools to streamline and improve existing processes

·         Grow department sales to match annual goals

·         Work in a team atmosphere with Fabrication, Purchasing, and Shipping to satisfy our customers and provide solutions to their problems

·         Support other Streimer divisions with fabrication estimates and as liaison to the shop

·         Follow up with potential customers to pursue open bids

·         Be a customer advocate for fabrication work

Additional duties & responsibilities

·         Ensure that project paperwork is complete and correct

·         Provide estimating support for the following product lines:

¡  HVAC duct and fittings

¡  METU access doors and duct accessories

¡  ACCU-ARC curved wall products

¡  Architectural break shapes

¡  General fabrication

·         Utilize Fabshop software to estimate HVAC jobs.

·         Be able to read and interpret project specifications.

·         Travel <20%

·         Business casual dress code required

·         Other assigned duties based on need

·         2 + years of supervisory experience

·         Creative problem solver

·         Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area or equivalent combination of education and experience

·         Background in HVAC manufacturing or installation, including 3 years hands-on experience

·         Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

·         Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication methods and materials

·         Ability to work independently under general supervision

·         Ability and motivation to negotiate to a “win-win” outcome with our customers

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
